A New Shopping Destination for Sports and Outdoor Enthusiasts
Big news for Dripping Springs athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, and families! Academy Sports + Outdoors is planning a new location in Dripping Springs as part of the expanding Headwaters East commercial development.
The announcement adds another major retailer to the growing list of businesses choosing to invest in the Highway 290 corridor.
The planned Academy location represents another step forward for the area's commercial expansion.
What Will the New Academy Offer?
Academy Sports + Outdoors is a popular destination for athletic equipment, outdoor recreation products, apparel, and footwear.
The retailer offers merchandise for a variety of activities, including football, baseball, basketball, soccer, fishing, camping, hunting, hiking, and fitness.
For Dripping Springs families involved in youth sports and school athletics, a nearby Academy could make shopping for equipment, uniforms, and athletic footwear significantly more convenient.
Outdoor enthusiasts will also have another local option for preparing for camping trips, fishing adventures, and weekends exploring the Texas Hill Country.
Where Will Academy Be Located?
The new Academy is planned within the Headwaters East retail development along Highway 290.
Current reporting describes a store of approximately 50,000 square feet, making it one of the larger planned retail spaces within the development.
The shopping center is expected to feature a combination of national retailers, restaurants, and smaller commercial spaces, creating a new destination for shopping and everyday services.
